Lauren is thinking about when she woke up and went down to the dock at her aunts house and thought that she was dreaming, but then saw her aunt on the dock scrubbing her mothers blood off of the dock. She puked. Today was the day that she was going back to the place that her mother died, it only took seven years to return. After she went to the dock she went aroud the house and saw Nora, the weird cousin, in the garden. She began to shake when she saw Lauren. She continued to tell Lauren that she named on of her roses Lauren, and that the thorns make her bleed. Nora said that she needed fishing line to tie up the roses, and that it was in the boathouse. She also said that it was locked because "she" was in there. The she that Nora was talking about is Laurens dead mom. This really freaked out Lauren. Lauren went into the boat house, and Nora shut and locked the door behind her. Lauren tried everything to get the door open, screaming, kicking, and pushing. Finally Nick and Mr. Frank opened the door. They told Lauren that Nora is crazy and that she needs help.
Nora is really weird. She does little things that no one can figure out and it freaks everyone out. Her mother thinks that she is just going through a phase, but Lauren sees through that. I think that there is something very wrong with Nora, and more weird things are going to be happening.

"Country Boys"

In the documentary "Country Boys" two boys, Cody and Chris, are followed around and their lives are taped. Although these two boys school life is very alike, the boys themselves vary vastly. Also, the diction that the boys use are very much different. Chris is a boy that has a mom and dad and sister, he lives in a trailor, and goes to a developmental school. His father drinks a lot, and has serosis and can not work. Chris' mother has to clean to keep an income coming in for the family. Cody is alike in the way that his sare not very present in his parentals are not present in his life. When he was young his mother shot herself and then his father passed away. He lived with his aunt for a while, but they did not get along. He currently lives with Liz. The two boys diction is very differnt even though they do go to the same school. Altough, Chris does not excell in school he uses intilectual words that depict a studious feel when listning to him. Chris states that, "all I care about is having a meaning in my life". Chris is creating a school newspaper and says, "im not one of the fastese writers..." even with this he still tries his best in everything that he does. Cody on the other hand uses words and phrases that create a lollygagging inactive feeling. He acts as though he does not really care about anything. He even told one of his teachers to "shut up". From his apperance people assume that he jsut messes around, he needs to prove them wrong. Cody states, "they call me a freak all the time". Altough the boys are very different in character they are both after one goal, to pass high school.

In the middle of the book it changed to another story. In the beginning it starts out seven years earlier. The story starts out with a girl named Lauren who wakes up from a bad dream, about her mother. She realized that what she thought was a dream might not have been. She ran out of her aunts house down to the water, and saw her cousins running around and screaming. Next, she saw her aunt carrying her mother out of the water. Lauren was screaming "mommy"! Her aunt then said," she wont answer honey". Lauren waited seven years to go back to the place where her mom died. Finally, she decided to come back. Lauren is going and staying with her aunt Jule, and her cousins Nora and Holly. Nora has changed a lot, she is very weird and scared of water now. Lauren's family now does not have a lot of money. Lauren said that her dad gives her money all the time. She decided that she was going to help her family out and give them some money.
I think that I am really going to like this story. Lauren is going back to Westeria to ind out if her mom actually drowned or if someone did it to her. I don't think this story is going to be as scary as the one about Megan and her grandmothers ghost. I still think it might be a little creepy though.

Picture Book Blog

I loved looking at the old picture books!! It reminded me of all the times that my grandma would read the books to me. Also, my mom always used to read me the picture book "Love you Forever". It was our favorite when I was a little girl. I did not realize that all of those books were so old! I thought they were written when I was born. One book that I wished that would have been on there that was not was "Rainbow Fish". That was my ultimate favorite children s book.

Ok, morp this year was nothing like what it has been in the past. The teachers we so strict about the dancing going on. I can not believe that they actually kicked people out. I had an ok time, but I left at 10:30ish. I think that if they are going to be that strict for prom all the students should just go somewhere else and not have any teachers be there, and just get our own DJ. It also got wayyyy too hot in the gym!!

Ok these were by far the weirdest chapters in the entire book. After Megan went and talked to Mrs. Riley she went straight to the mill to figure out what was going on. She was there alone and tried to take in everything to get a sense of what was happening with the whole situation. She heard a noise and hid behind something, now she heard two voices and figured out that it was Matt and Mrs. Riley. Her head kept going from present to past and was was very confused. She knew that Matt was Thomas reincarnated, and she was Avril. She thought that Matt/ Thomas was trying to hurt her, so she climbed a laddar, she ened up falling and everything went black. When she awoke she was in the hospital and Matt was sitting next to her. She asked him if was all a dream and he said no and explained everything to her. Mrs. Riley had put drugs in her tea when she went and talked to her. She is also the one that drugged Avril so many years ago and killed her! During the fall of Megan, a pole hit Mrs. Riley and killed her. Matt explained why him and the grandma had been acting so weird latley, because they both knew that she was Avril. Matt and Megan/ Thomas and Avril, ened up having a relationship together just like many years before.
So that was the end of the book, well the one story of the book. Totaly not what I was expecting to happen. I thought that mrs. Riley was totay just trying to help Megan out. I never thought that she would be the one to try and kill her.

The four left the party, and Megan fell right to sleep when they got home because she has not been sleeping well at all. She had yet another weird dream. She was Avril and she was in the house with Thomas, Avrils sisters boy friend. He ened up kissing her, and Helem, the sister, saw the whole thing. In the dream Helen got so angry at Avril she pused her down the stairs! Megan woke up to find Matt asking if she was alright. She had actually falled down the stairs, it was just not in a drea. Matt asked her what happened, she told him what she was dreaming about and he suggested that she should leave because of everyhting that was going on at the house. Matt took her into the library and opened one of the drawers and pulled out a picture of Avril. Shockingly it looked exactly like Megan, which is really strange because she was adopted. Megan was so freaked out that she went to talk to Mrs. Riley again about this ghost or whatever it was. Mrs. Riley explained that the day she was sitting there was the anniversary of Avrils death. She believed that Megan was Avil reincarnated, and she needed to go to the mill to try to save herself from dying.
This story just got soooo weird! The fact that Megan looks exactly like Avril just really freaks me out. I cant read this book at night before I go to bed because it freaks me out so much.
