The four of the kids are headed to Kristy's party. Matt and Megan picked up Alex, then went to pick up Megan. Alex and Sophie sat in the back seat and Matt and Megan sat in the front seat. Alex told Megan that he kept her valentine that she had made in fifth grade for him. When they were driving, they went on a road and they call the curve on the road deadman's curve. When they were driving past it Megan got a really quite and had a weird look on her face. They all asked if she was okay and she just said yes and got out of the car. Kristy's house was huge, the party was out back and by the lake. Alex and Megan went out of the dock and talked. Megan kept looking back up at the house to see what Matt and Sophie were doing. Matt came out to the dock when Alex left and Megan told him that he could have any girl that he wanted so he should be lucky that a girl like Sophie is interested in him.
Not much really happened in these pages that was very exciting. The only thing that was really was exciting was the part about Megan getting the weird feeling when they went around deadman's curve. That might lead to something that happened with the grandmother and Avril.

Megan saw Sophie at the store the next day and told her that the four of them were going to a girl named Kristy's party, Sophie did not like the girl but she agreed to it anyway. Sophie told Megan that her and Alex used to be best friends in elementary school, but then when she made him a valentine he showed it to the entire class and they all laughed at her. Megan has been telling her about all the weird things that have been going on to her and the house. Sophie says that she thinks Megan is her grandmothers dead sister Avril reincarnated.
I think that after talking to Sophie Megan is really starting to get freaked out about this whole ghost thing. Im certian there will be more things that happen in the next few chapters that will elaborate on this weird happening. I cant wait to find out what is going to happen.

Megan is now working at a little store called Yesterdayz in the town that her grandmother lives in. She just works Wednesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. Matt, Megans cousin, and his friend Alex saw Megan walking down the street so they picked her up. Alex asked Megan out on a date with him, and Megan said yes. She had already pormised Sophie they were going to hang out, so they decided that all four of them were going to go to a party. Megan really wanted to see the old mill because she thought that it would help her to discover what was going on in the house. Matt did not want her going at all, so he said that he had to go with her if she was going to be going there. When Megan whet inside the mill she gasped and realized there were the wheels and gears she had seen in her dream. Matt and Megan quickly left the mill. When they got home grandmother saw their dirty shoes and Matt told her they had been at the mill. She was very angry with Megan, she did not want her going there at all.
Everything in the story got alot more weird when Megan realized that the wheels that she had seen in her dream were in the mill. Im not sure what to think about all the weird things that are going on to Megan, and how Matt seems to know things but is not telling her.

Spellbound Paragraph

--Pick any two students or parents and compare and contrast the ways that they deal with the stress of competition?--

At the 2009 National Spelling Bee competition in Washington DC, over 200 students compete to take the title of national spelling bee champion. Two students that are followed and reported on in the fild Spellbound are Neil and April. They are two very differnt people along with their parents. Neil is a very confident and reserved speller, and April is very shy and pessimistic. Although, these two differ greatly they are both very dedicated to their spelling and spend many hours studing their words and spelling them. Both of the students parents are very supporitve of their children, they just show it in very diferent ways. Neils' family paid people in India a great deal of money to be praying for him duing the spelling bee. His greandfather also said that id he wins he is going to feed 5,000 people in India. Aprils parents are very optimistic and are very involved. In the audiance you can see her dad paceing around and her mother's hands sweating. Competition is very stiff at the 1999 National Spelling Bee, so the 200 plus students have to be on top of their spelling.

When Megan got home in the afternoon she noticed that her grandmother was very pale and did not look healthy. She asked her grandmother what was wrong and she would not answer. She refused to let Megan call her doctor. Megan keeps having weird dreams about the house and her grandmother and her cousin Matt. Tonight her dream was about her and Matt playing in a room with a bunch of huge wheels and she got caught up in one of the wheels and he would not help her out. Strange things keep happening aroung the house, grandmothers bible was moved again. Megan wanted to figure out what was going on and why these things were happening, so she went to Mrs. Riley a lady that used to work in her grandmothers house and has special powers and knows many things. Megan told Mrs. Riley what had been moved and where it was moved to. She told Megan that when her grandmother was a little girl that is where her things were, she said that she thought Avril's ghost was moving the things back to where she wanted them at night.
This story is starting to get more intense, Megan is starting to uncover things that she had never known about the family. I think that it is going to get more freaky when she had more dreams and more things begin to start moving aound the house. I also, think that once her grandmother finds out that she is looking into the situation she is going to get angry with Megan.

Long Weekend

We had a super long weekend, no school Thursday or Friday! I really did not do anything too exciting. I just went to the Y and worked out and then on Friday my best friend had people over so I went to her house, but had to leave early because I had to wake up at 5:30 am for my show choir competition. We went to Northridge High School for our competition, we preformed at 3:45 in the afternoon and had awards around7. WE MADE FINALS! We preformed again at 10:15 pm. We found out that going into finals we were in third place out of six. We were 4.1 points away from being in first place. We preformed and had finals awards at 1 am. We ended up getting fifth place, it was a very big disappointment because we all had our best show ever!
